Our Philosophy
Research reveals that through a professional and caring therapeutic relationship an individual gains the ability to live a positive and purposeful life. Our philosophy, at The Esteem Centre, is that learning to take control of personal outcomes is essential for the enhancement of the physical, mental and emotional well-being of the individual. Our desire is to see every individual grow in the knowledge of who they are - thus creating an energy which naturally propels them forward into a life of wholeness and satisfaction.
Our Counsellors
Principal Counsellor - Vicki Dwyer - B. Min Grad. Dip. CounsStudies
Our principal counsellor Vicki Dwyer has experience working with a variety of people including individual, teenagers and children in the area of substance abuse, trauma, depression and anxiety. Vicki is also passionate in assisting in the area of life skills and the facilitation of moving forward into a more fulfilling future for the individual.
She holds a Bachelor of Ministry and a Grad. Dip. of Counselling Studies and is an associate member of QCA. Vicki is currently enrolled in a Grad Diploma at the University of Queensland studying Addictions and substance abuse.
Vicki has worked as a counsellor for "On The Edge" in Beenleigh. As well as counselling, she avails herself as a youth mentor to the many teenagers who drop in on a regular basis. Vicki has also counselled with various churches and has run her own counselling practice from home.
Her interests include spirituality and wholeness, anxiety, depression and women's issues. Vicki's passion is to assist in the facilitation of ones journey in becoming the amazing person they were created to be.
